    Was happy when I read the release notes "Fixed crash when attemting to record on BBC on Astra 28" but I was very disappointed when I tried to record from BBC 1 London on the frequency 10,773 GHz H, 22000, 5/6, because the LyngBox "crashed" within 10-30 seconds after that I´ve initiated the recording and there´s no recording on the HDD. Same problem as in the two previous software releases, so the problems with recordings on Astra 2D is still not fixed !!!

    When putting the LyngBox in Standby mode I discovered, after installing the new software, it will start up after a short while automatically (after 10-15 minutes) and then go back to Standby mode again, this continues forever or until I stop the LyngBox by using the mainswitch on the back of the receiver. This is really annoying. I thought the LyngBox software should be improoved as time goes by but it´s only getting worse since the last tree software updates. ;-(

    LyngBox team is now aware of the problem with automatic restarts, we believe that it happens as LyngBox tries to synchronize the Timers with LyngSat-Guide web site. It is reported that disabling the network connection of LyngBox by selecting "None" in Network Settings menu acts as a temporary solution in some users, permanent solution for the problem is being developed and should be online as soon as possible.

    With the new software the greek epg on terrestrial channels does not work when i put the Guide button and on the screen on receiver.I can not see greek characters but only the numbers and ( or ) or . (fullstop).Only with the info button can read what play now and the next program.Strange problem.And of course at satellite channels greek epg does not work at all like before new version 1.2,23

    The bug caused the fan, display and the hard disc to start when LyngBox was in standby mode has been fixed with today's software release, v1.2.24.

    I wonder why there´s no FEC-value presented in the "Channel Info" menu ? There´s a line for "FEC:" but there´s no value presented, it´s empty!
    When will it be possible to enter transponderdata manually in the LyngBox ? I hope the software developers read all the comments in this forum because there´re several things to fixed, sometimes I think the developers dosen´t use the LyngBox by them self at home because of several obvious faults and lack of manual settings, no PC-editing tool,poor transponder overview in receiver etc which can be detected within a few minutes of use. I like the "logics" on the LyngSat webpage why not use some of that "logics" in the Lyngbox also ? It could be something like: possibility to select a satellitposition, then a specifik satellite, then a specifik transponderfrequency, and then select a TV-channel on the transponder.

    I read all commnets on this forum and from others about bugs and others things missing from Lyngbox receiver,and I am really wonder why this promising receiver{"the best in the market","the receiver of the future"}is not what we expected?As you are rightly said:"developers read all the comments in this forum because there´re several things to fixed, sometimes I think the developers doesn´t use the LyngBox by them self at home because of several obvious faults and lack of manual setting"I thought that this receiver was making for satellites dxs and outstrip the others best receivers in the market!The price is too high for a receiver with so many bugs?!I will think twice before I'll buy it.Lyngbox technicians MUST read all comments and IMPROVE software to meet users needs!It is not made for themselves.

    There will be a major bug-fix software release which the developers are still working hard on. The new software will aim making LyngBox more stable, solving CAM issues and improving stability in recording.

    Hi arda,

    I hope your assurance about bug-fixing Lyngbox will be feasible soon.How about some missing functions,i.e. blind scan,and eventually 4.2.2.,and of cource some suggestions make by some users,especially by Peter.

    Hi Arda,
    Any estimate on when the much needed update will be ready??

    Another issue: I am unable to select zoom / black bars setting while doing playback of recorded material… I have to stop playback – watch live TV – select a zoom setting fitting the recorded material – go back to videos and start playback – the setting selected while watching Live TV is propagated to the playback?!?

    Obviously I should be able to select zoom setting on the fly – also during playback….

    Minor issue, I know, but still a nuisance … ;)

    Firt of all. Where can I add my own TOPIC in this forum? I don't see a NEW TOPIC button?

    Second, I'm running the latest firmware. I want to add a 10 minute margin at the end of a recording. When I record a programme from the Lyngsat Guide, the show is cut off before it has ended :-(

    After a successful login, you will see "Start a new discussion" link on the tab positioned just at the right of this discussion tab. Just click it and the rest is really self explaining.

    I will check the latest situation with adding a margin before and after a recording set via LyngSat Guide.
