Notice to all users regarding additional channel search and recordings

We recommend all users who prefer to schedule and make recordings via LyngSat (over the Internet or by using LyngSat Guide in the LyngBox) to only have channels automatically downloaded from LyngSat.
When doing a manual channel search, in addition to the first time automatic LyngSat search, channels are sometimes renamed. This is because the naming convention of LyngSat may differ from the naming in the feed received from the manual search.
In these cases, if you have scheduled recordings via LyngSat and perform an manual channel search, the recordings will be lost.
Software upgrade 1.2.23 will give you the option to choose “Guide” (“LyngSat” or “DVB”) in the “User Preferences”, in the LyngBox. When selecting “DVB” you will no longer have access to LyngSat Guide through the box.
In upcoming software releases improved solutions to solving this issue will be presented.

LyngBox Media wins ANGA Design Award

For the first time in its ten year history, ANGA Cable offered an award for the best-designed stand. The criteria for choosing the three stands to win the ANGA Design awards were creativity of stand design, attractiveness of product presentation, presentation (including graphical material, brochures, etc.), light design and implementation of corporate identity. In addition, a special prize was granted for the best-designed stand with a size of up to 20 square metres.
The four prize winners were announced on the final day of ANGA Cable 2008. The special award for a small stand up to 20 sqm was won by LyngBox Media, who managed to successfully create a concise, clearly structured presentation on the smallest possible floor space of 12 sqm.
“We are proud and very excited to receive this price” says Henrik Halvorsen CEO at LyngBox Media AB. “We have put a lot of effort in creating a LyngBox identity in design of our products, marketing material and presentation. After successfully navigating LyngBox through the initial phases of product development and establishing the company, Bengt Jönsson has chosen to take on new challenges elsewhere. The company is now entering into a new phase where sales and marketing is becoming increasingly important. The board of LyngBox Media AB have appointed the present VP Sales & Marketing, Henrik Halvorsen, as new CEO. The Board of Directors, management and the staff wish to thank Bengt Jönsson for his contributions and wish him all the best for the future.

LyngBox Media AB is proud to announce that the release of the LyngBox on the German and Spanish market will take place in the beginning of February 2008. The German distributor is Visiontec from Braunschweig and in Spain the LyngBox will be distributed by Antnet Digital outside Madrid.
This is the first two countries that will start to sell the LyngBox and our plan is to open up sales in at least five additional countries during February/March 2008. We will announce the introduction plan for those countries as soon as possible.

Henrik Halvorsen - VP of Sales and Marketing

LyngBox Media has added a member to its team with Henrik Halvorsen's recent join as VP of Sales and Marketing. Mr Halvorsen has held several management positions in companies within the IT and Electronics market. Since the start in 1985 as Product Manager at Ericsson Information Systems he has mainly been working with product management/development, marketing and sales of technical products and services. As entrepreneur he was co-founder of Interware that later was acquired by Nexus in 1997. Mr Halvorsen was Executive Vice President at Nexus and Deputy CEO at Tritech, a spin off from Nexus. Before LyngBox he held the position as Executive Solutions Sales Manager at Motorola’s IPTV unit.
