Design

When designing the LyngBox we had the interests of three very different user groups to take into consideration:

  • The live-and-breathe satellite enthusiasts, often referred to as ‘DX-ers’.
  • The new to moderately informed satellite & terrestrial TV watchers.
  • The gadget and style sensitive consumers who puts design and visual expression at the forefront.

We feel the result of the LyngBox truly communicates our values and gives each of our user something to relate to:

  • Technical Superiority
  • Simplicity
  • Austere and Contemporary design

Unique design

“When the first sketches of the LyngBox exterior design were drawn up in late 2005 the key phrase was ‘selected simplicity’. Our goal was to create a satellite receiver with a cool looking ergonomic functionality that would continue to appear contemporary for many years to come. The result is an object that is stunningly unique, even before the power is turned on.”
